The District Grill Room & Bar offers new special French menu, curated by  Chef de cuisine, Christian Caluwaert. With his years of experience with Michelin-starred restaurants – L’Orangeraie in Belgium and Hostellerie de Levernois in France – Chef Christian combines French culinary finesse with contemporary cooking techniques to create novel flavor combinations.

Born in Thailand but spent most of his time in Europe, Chef Christian’s unique background has enabled him to gain deep understanding of both Thai and European culinary culture. In his 10 years of professional experience in Europe, he had the opportunity to work under some of the most legendary names in the industry like Alain Ducasse and Frédéric Vardon.

In the end of 2014, Chef Christian decided to return to his country of birth to advance his culinary career in this exciting foodie scene. For the past few years in Thailand, Chef Christian has achieved a successful reputation for his creative menus and memorable gastronomic experience to diners, which quickly positioned The District Grill Room & Bar the venue on Bangkok’s ever bustling dining map.

From now until 15 April 2017, Chef Christian will showcase a collection of traditional French dishes, including succulent dry-aged beef from Charolais and Normandy, delectable boeuf bourguignon, wild turbot with stewed green peas and white wine sauce.
